Some thoughts at this point in the season.
1. If the season keeps going like it is for Lester, I'm hoping he decides to call it a career at the end of this season. You could just see the anguish on his face as he sat on the bench between innings. He was too good of a pitcher to have another year like this.
2. Thanks for 2016 Theo, but it is time to go. Way too many bad moves and acquisitions by Theo; Kimbrel, Cease & Jimenez for Quintana, getting rid of La Stella and picking up Descalso, countless horrible BP arms he has acquired.
3. How does Iapoce stay on as a hitting instructor? Cubs have been horrid at small ball, going the other way with outside pitches. So many of the starters swing from the heels and whiff way to often.
4. Being an ex catcher, I've been disappointed that Rossy has been late so often changing pitchers until the Cubs so far behind. Hopefully that improves with time.
5. Theo should have moved Bryant when his trade value was worth something.
6. This offseason the Cubs need to move some of starters for "PITCHING"
There now... I feel better! ??
